D.Y. Pope witness being sworn says - he pasd on yesterday morning in company with Mr Witty a path between his hoise & Mr Neely two negroes lying within 15 or 20 paces of the supposd. They were asleep thought of rousing them up but Mr Witty said let them alone & they went on heard report of three guns about half house before day light.
