Transcription: 

J.A. Martin, sworn says yesterday about 10 oclock AM we were cleaning up on the creek. I had a single barreled shot Gun. The dogs got up a rabbit. My brother Ed. Got my gun, and was playing with Geo Grant deceased, he tried to move the gun to another place it went off somehow, and the load entered the right side of deceased Geo Grant. They were in good humor laughing having fun. I am satisfied in my mind that it was altogether accidental, Geo died last night about 8 oclock.
