I was watching hoop at depot David Deason asked me to go with him & Bruce Roue told me to go in front of him & call Bruce out & be talking with him went on was talking to Bruce wanted him to carry me home I was on porch in Bruce house He said his car was Broken down. I told him yes because to come bax he said he couldn't wife was sick & had to stay with her I said come go please with me afort he said he couldn't I talked on David was standing at corner of house near highway. I left house went on highway . . . Bruce came out of house must of come out back door. I said by what you doing here about my house. Pistol started firing. Bruce asked him one time. Both were shooting. David didn't answer Bruce. David walked on to highway & said look out Bruce he had been shot then. He went down highway five or six steps then shot three times at house. Bruce asked me where David was when I was talking to him. David was shot & corner of house. After David left house Bruce didn't shoot. David said Gus Jim shot in right side. I went to him and carried him to his car . . .
