W.R. Crisp being duly Sworn Says As I passed William Watts House I met Marshal Owens at William Watts House Marshal Owens says lord yonder lies Granny now I went back to where she was and turned her face over and saw that She was dead that was Rose Watts the colored people called her Granny I judged from the frost on her clothes that She had been their [sic] some time.
