Charlotte Dillard Sworn sayes she is the lawful wife of Frank Dillard. Monday evening 22rd inst about 5 oclock Frank and myself were coming from the station (Lanford) at the fork of the road we met Willie Matterson horseback Frank was carrying the babie he gave it to me he grabbed up a rock and thrw at Willie, he dodged it - willie got off his horse and Frank pricked up two more rocks and advanced towards him. Willie fired at him, Frank dropped the rocks. I asked him if he hit him he said yes - Willie got on his horse and rode off...I don't know why he thre the rocks - don't know of any difficulty between them, I work for Willie Patterson, and Frank worked for Marcy Patterson...
