Rodgers being sworn Sayes I have been treating this child since last Wednesday for fever with teething process combined; was here yesterday about 3 or 4 pm thought it better and did not direct any medicine except powder of Quinine to be given at bed time in the fever did not rise in the night in my judgement the Cause of death was failure of the heart, or the rupture of some of the larger vessels which would produce death without pain during my visits I have found the quite sick and restless with high fever at first, but was very much reduced yesterday evening. Heart failure may or does take place from nervous excitement or high fever this seemed to be a usual stout child.
