Forest Golding who being duly sworn deposes and says. Is no kin to deceaed. Last night the 6th day of November 1885 about 7 oclock witness and others including Deceased and Ira Hughes were at the well in the yard of Mrs S E Dunlops plantation. Hughes walked up to witness and Colvin Dunlop and pointed a pistol at each of us... Deceased asked Randolph who's that after you. Randolph replied that Ira Hughes was there with his pistol. Deceased told Randolph to pick up something and knock Hughes down for he wasdrunk and did not know what he was doing. Hughes then turned to deceased and said to deceaed you had better do it. Hughes then went towards Deceased and fired his pistol... Deceased called Mr Milam - and did not live more than fifteen mintues, after he was shot...
