M.H. Bishop sworn says he lives near this place know the decsd., Clem Davis last night I heard ten or more Gun shots in the direction of Clem Davis house a man came to my house asked me for a lamp said the negro was under the house he wanted to see him I gave him a lamp, he did not name the negro, I found the lamp in my piazza, don't know when it was bought... I came here... and found Clem Davis lying on the floor dead I saw marks Gun shot wounds.
