T. L. MEADOWS. . . We were sitting in the car. Some of the boys got out. There was an argument over there. They were out there fussing. I went to look around and came back to the car and stopped. When I did, Jim Dunlap came up. When Jim left, I heard somebody say, "You are going to shoot the car." When Leonard said that, I got out of the car. I told Jim to go o and forget about it. I told Leonard to go on. Leonard went around the car and I sat back down. I heard someone talking out there. Leonard Clark made as if he was going to grab Bill Sowell. He gave him a shove back and shot again. Q. Were they drinking? A. They were not drinking. BEN MILLER . . . Q. What was his condition as regard to alcoholics? Was he [Bill] drinking? A. He smelled like it. . . .
