B. J. Dove, witness, duly sworn, testified at follows I am eleven years old and the son of Dollie Dove and Lillie Mae Dove, and I live with them in Mr. Al Brewers place about half a miles from where Flossie Sellers live. The night of Nov. 18th, 1943 my Mother wanted me to go with her over to Flossie Sellers house to see if Daddy was over there, and we took an ax and rifle with her when she went, and said if he caught them in bed together she was going to kill them both. She told Flossie to open the door, and Flossie didn't open the door, and Mama knocked the door open with an ax and asked Flossie if Daddy was there, and as I struck a match she cocked the gun, and shot Flossie in bed. When she found Daddy wasn't there she told Flossie that she would get the Doctor for her, and she didn't mean it. Mama gave me the ax, and told me to carry it home. She came later. Their was no one in the house with Flossie but her three children were with her. I was between ten and eleven o'clock that night. Mama told me to s strike a match, and I did is when she shot.
W. Jollie Dove, witness, duly sworn, testified at follows. I am the husband of Lillie Mae Dove, and I have never been to Flossie Sellers house but one time, and my wife was there. I though she and Flossie was the best of friends, and I was just wlking when I went there, and have not been there since. I never had anything to do with Flossie Sellers at any time. I wasn't home when my wife came back after the shooting. I had been to Prince Humphries house. . .
