Carrie Jefferson duly sworn says -- I am Rob Jefferson's wife. Rob was shot Monday July 11 about 12:30 P.M. Rob walked in at home and I was eating my dinner. He sat down at table . . . After Rob finished easing he got up from table and goes over gets his gun. . . . I said to him him where are you going Robert? He never answered. I said again, Robert where are you going? He stepped out front door and walked toward the garden. . . I said don't you go. He said to me I am going to hell today, I said to him every one has there own trouble Rob. I walked back in house. Rob was drinking when he came to Dinner. I heard two shots fired and Rob made a step it two running across cornfield toward our house. I said Robert "what did you do"? He said I shot him. I said No you didn't. He said yes, I did to. where did you hit him Rob. He said, I hit him in the head. I said did you get shot too. He said -- yes. I took gun out of his hand and put in where Mr. [?louglds?] got it. Rob had double barrel shot gun. Rob had 32 Smith & Wesson pistol in his pocket. It was in a holster. . . I said Rob here is you pistol it isn't in you pocket. He said it we. . . Rob and Joh Henry have had trouble before. . .
