Bart Rosie Sworn Says yesterday morning . . . about one hour till day brake Deceased caled to me & told me to give her some water I give her water when I cared her the water she Has vomited She said I had Souer Stomach. I went to bed again Deceased kept calling I then Said to her Anna if you don't quit calling I will get up & beat you. Deceased Said I aint going to talk any more I lay a while & She said please Sir give me a little more water I said to her I will get up & make a fire for you don't intend for me to seep I then got up and made a fire I then give her water. She then wanted to git up I told her I was too wet for her to git up so soon but let fire burn & She could git up after the fire had burned I went back to her bed & told her she could git uo is She wanted to She said I am too week to git up by my self I went to help her up & found her in a bad condition I told her to ly still & I cleaned her I then taken her up & she walked to the fire place I then cooked breakfast I then ask her if She wanted any thing to eat She Said no I then found out She was not in her rite mind. I then went over to Wm Evans. . . so me and Mr. Evans comes back & found her dead. . .I always treated Anna as good as I was able I was not able to hire no one to stay with her none of her kin would have anything to do with her the reason I threated to whip her was to make her mind me. I do not think their was any violence used on Deceased. I had been keeping Anna & her Child about two months.
