J. N. Paul Sworn Says I am a member of the firm of Paul & Covar ... I saw Hugh Anderson that Evening ... he Came in the Store ... probably an hour before Killing. He had a gun ... Said that he wanted to put the rifle inside of the bar that he wanted to Meet the Company that night ... As Soon as the Shot was fiered I got up and went into the bar. Saw Hugh Anderson with a gun in his hand ... Mr Anderson told me that he did the Shooting and his reasons for So doing was that he had been threatened by this party Several time and had been Shot at by him once

I heard Hugh Anderson Tell the Sheriff after he was arrested that he was the man that done the Shooting he told the Sheriff and Myself that Isham Glover had threatened his life on first Sight
