J E Paul being duly sworn says on oath My Self Charley Harrison and F A Bilanger were all standing up together talking and Charley said lets go and shoot off my pistol it has not been Shot since I Shot My Self with it and he handed it to Capt. Bilanger and he Bilanger Shot it [?] at a Board that was Sticking in the bank and after the second Shot the Ram rod fell down and I told him that it was broke and Bilanger wok[?] it up in his hand and it fired I was standing between Bilanger and Charley and as I turned around after the report of the Pistol I saw Charley fall
