I was in Dr Parkers yard. I heard a gun go off four times. Then the people came on in the buggy, and one fell out. The one that fell out was the deceased. I saw two persons going to the plum thicket, they both had guns, did not see them go away

I saw little George Addison and Jimmy Addison with guns going down the road, they went up to the fence (walking) towards the plum thicket. I heard two guns go off, I saw two men coming down the hill in a top buggy with two horses soon after the firing, I saw one of the men in the buggy fall out in front of this (Dr Parkers) house. The other man stopped his horses at the lot gate and came back. The man that came back had blood on him. The one that fell out died within . . . of an hour. I did not hear him speak

myself and brother were riding this morning from the village towards Dr. H. Parkers house I was driving and sitting on the right hand side of the buggy. I was driving on quietly. The horses were walking, when I heard a gun go off in our immediate vicinity. I thought that it was a pistol gone off accidentally in the buggy. The second shot hit me near the heart my brother remarked "I am shot through the heart I am dead." The horses jumped and run. Brother came near falling out of the buggy but I caught him with the left hand not being able to hold him in consequence of the weakness of my left arm (which was shot) he fell out of the buggy ... when the second shot was fired I saw George B. Addison running in a direction eastwardly and at right angles with the road.
