he heard some person offer to bet five dollars that Mackgrath could not drink a 1/2 pint of gin at one drink, Mackgrath drank the 1/2 pint and made off towards Mr Glovers, but fell in a few minutes after getting in the piazza. I do not know who proposed to bet.
