that the said Joseph Howard did ... by the instigation of the divel and his own wicked head[?] did feloniously kill & murder himself by token of a Cotton rope of the vellew of twelve and a half sents which the said Howard did take in his hands then put one end round his neck and the other end he tyed to the boy[?] of a tree and forth with did Stifle[?] him self to death
