Susan Bishop sworn and says I live about 1/4 miles from where [?] Lipscombs lived. I had not seen her the deceased Mary Lipscomb that day till I went over there which was about 4 o'clock that evening the 26 day of April 1889. I seen bruises on her. did not notice the cut on her but a right [?] blood. one bruise on the side of neck on back of neck, one on back of her head and one on knee. she looked like she had been whiped before that day from the marks and scabs on her back. there was Ann Lane and the husband Lem of the deceased there only when I got there. her neck was not stiff when we were washing her. her eyes were closed, face dry. I saw no blood on her close. there was on quilt. I saw no blood on her husband's close. he had on a sorter of a redish colored pair of pants. he had on a very good pair of pants. her husband said that she had fell on the corner or edge of trunk caused the bruises on the back of her head.
