[?] says--passed by the house going to the bottoms came back and called, but could get no answer. came down to the house, call a loud for deceased several times. Doors of house shut. opened the door, went in and looked for deceased upstairs. could not find her in the house. came out and called aloud again. I have permission to get [?] went in [?] and commenced gathering [?], heard a child cry.... The child was on one side of the fence an she was hanging across the fence, facing the child. I think the decease came to her death by abortion.

Jane sworn. went in in the morning. decease had been called out some clothing for her left two shirts for deceased to make. decease said she did not feel well. ask if I could not make up bed for her. did not feel able to do so. deaceased had been unwell for several days. had sent to Dr. Westerfell at Gaffnew for two pills. had taken them. had been suffering for serveral days with diarhea. deceased went out to stool about 10 oclcok. she the door behind her. went down thirty yards from the house, tol me to tell Ma to come down after I had started of she hollowed and told me I [?] not tell Ma to come if her Ma's was not well.
