Nancy Belcher sworn says, On yesterday about noon these people camped here. My daughter and myself sat with them a while last night just after dark. They seemed very friendly. I noticed nothing wrong between them. Some time in the night the man came to the house and called me to come out saying that he could not get his wife to speak and was afraid she was dying. When I cam she was making a noise but could not speak. I never heard any one take on so as he did. He seemed greatly distressed and to be trying to do all he coudl for her.
