Mrs. Rebecca Dill sworn. I was sitting in a chair about half hour in the night. The shot came from the eastern side of the house. I saw no one when the firing occurred. Mr. Dill and Ellison were shot about the same time. I ran out the western door after they fell. I was stepping out the door when I was shot. Nancy Burnett and Wil Taylor's wife brought me into the house. Ellison was sitting at the eastern door, heard him as he lookd out the door and ask who was there. he was shot at the same Instant. Drs. McLeod, Moore & Nelson sworn. We have examined the bodies of S.G.W. Dill and Nestor Ellison found dead, and we are satisfied that they came to their deaths from the former from gunshot wound in the cervical portion of the spine; and the latter from gunshot wounds in the brain. Thomas Britton sworn. On Saturday the 23d of May last I met Mr. Abram Rabon in the road. he asked me where I was going. I told him to Mr. Dill's. he asked me what for. I told him I was going down there to a speech. he said, yes, you are all going to hell as fast as you can, for that dam George will be knocked into a cap hat, and John Qualls before many days. I said we will all go to hell together then, and left him. this is all that passed between us. Thomas his mark Britton

Nancy Huckabee sworn. This morning i heard Thomas Murphy say he was glad he ^Dill was dead. I met him at Mr. Gettz's Mill. this occurred this 5th day of June. Nancy her mark Huckabee

Nancy Burnett sworn. I was in Mr. Dill's house and two shots were fired. I saw no one. they were fired from the east side of the house. both doors were open. I heard the parties running but did not see them. Some person said, that is Nancy Burnett but could not distinguish the voice. Nancy her mark Burnett

John B. Burnett sworn. I was at Mr. Dill's house on Saturday last. I heard some one in the road say they allowed to come back here on Saturday night and shoot the house into a honey comb. There was a crowd standing together. I thought it was Parker's voice, but could not ^distinguish it say that it was. John his mark Burnett

William Taylor sorn. I was at Mr. Dill's house last night. I saw Mr. Dill and Nestor Ellison fall. I think there was about ten shots fired. they were fired from the eastern side of the house. about five minutes afterwards I saw two persons in the road above Mr. Dill's house. I heard the report of another fun at that time. I was between 50 and 70 yards from them. did not hear their voices. I did not see any horse. they were on foot when I saw thm. I can't say which way they went. I was afraid of being fired on and kept myself concealed from them. William his mark Taylor

I saw two persons run out of the field on the eastern side fo the house. otherwise I fully corroborate the testimony of my husband Wm. Taylor, who was with me in Mr. Dill's house at the time. I saw Mr. Dill and Ellison fall. Elizabeth her mark Taylor

Isaac Baker sworn. I saw Dr. Glenn and Bill Killz pass Mr. Jas. Team's house about nine oclock last night. they were riding. It is about three miles from here to Mr. Team's house. I heard their voices. they had no guns that I saw. would not have been on the direct road from Mr. Dill's to Dr. Glenn's. I was about twenty yards from them. could not tell what kind of horses they were riding. did not stop as they went by, two were riding slowly. the 3d one was riding fast. the moon was shining. I live at Mr. James Hornsby's. went up to Mr. Team's to see my mother. left Mr. Hornsby's about seven oclock. I had just got to my mother's house when I heard the reports of the guns.
