March 21st, 1863. Testimony of Dr. D.L. DeSaussure. I depose that Edmond Wages had received the mark of four buckshot in the left leg just about the knee, one in the back, one through the chest, two in the right arm, these wounds were sufishent [sic] to cause his death in my opinion. William Wages I depose that this man in my opinion came to his death from the effect of six buck shot through the body and one through the head just above the left eye. D.L. DeSaussure, M.D....

Testimony of Dicy Richerson[?] sworn March 21, '63. I saw the dead bodies the day they were found. I heard Jimmy Betheny[?] say seven or eight months ago that he would kill Edmon Wages, William Wages, and John Wages. He told me at his dinner table to tell them that he would kill them at the risk of his life on first sight. Dicy her mark Richerson.

Testimony of Abbygill Wages, sworn March 21st/'63. My sister and my self found the dead bodies on Wednesday morning the 11th of March. They were killed on Tuesday night the 10th. They had left the house on that evening to hunt turkeys. They were in the habit of going out the night before when they wanted to hunt turkeys the next day. The bodies of the deceased was left where they were found until the jury arrived on the spot. Abbygill her mark Wages.

Testimony of Mary Wages, sworn March 21st, 1863. William Wages & Edmon Wages left the house on the eavning [sic] of the 10th of March, said they were going turkey hunting. They boath [sic] left together. The next morning their dogs came back to the house so I had reason to suspect that something was rong [sic]. So my sister Abbygill & myself went to hunt for them. We found them boath [sic] dead. The bodies remained as they were found until the jury of inquest arrived abought [sic] a half mile from the house. Mary her mark Wages.

March 28th, 1863. Testimony of James Betheny sworn. I know nothing in relation to the death of the deceased persons. I have never heard any person or persons threaten to take the life of eather [sic] Edmon or William Wages. James his mark Betheny

Testimony of Margaret Wages sworn Mch 28/'63. I heard Jimmy Betheny say about one month before Edmon Wages & William Wages were killed that he intended to kill them the first time he came up with them. He made this threat at his own house in the presence of Winy Wages & myself. Margaret her mark Wages.
