I was sent for by Mr Foalks[?] to ketch a runaway negro girl belonging to Doct Foalk I came as soon as I could when I got there I put my dogs on the trail, I run here to a pond but before I go with in 75 or 100 yards I heard a splash in the water ... the negro Jump in to the pond of here own free will before the dogs reach her
