G. F. P. Goodrich Sworn Says Did not see a disturbance Between Mr. Chapman and any one Else. But heard some words Between Deceased and L. D. Hardin. Heard Mr Hardin tell Deceased to go away from him and not Bother him that he was drunk. I regarded deceased Pretty Drunk. Did not see any Blow Passed.
Dr. I. K. McLean Sworn Says Saw Allen G. Champan shortly after Blw was Struck. Did not think at the time the blow was Serious and Examined the sound again today Was Fracture and Saw Depression on the Right Side of the Skull. I regard the wound sufficient to Produce Death. I think half a Brick thrown by an ordinary strong man at (8) feet might Produce Death . . .
Daniel Mc[???] Sworn Says. I saw a disturbance between Deceased and L. D. Hardin. Saw Mr. Hardin Strike Deceased a Buck Hardin Leek in the face. Mr. Chapman called Mr. Hardin a Dammed Liar and I D. Hardin then Rose from a Box and Struck him with his fist. After the Blow was Struck they Separated and Mr. Harkin threw at [???] twice with Bricks. He missed him with the first and Struck him with the second just as he Exited the store Door or Mr. Rhodes. It was little over half a Brick. . .
