Evidence of Harry Sowell . . . I took hold of him and struck him but I could not wake him then tired to carry him home and could carry him and I called my Brother george and we carried him home and he was partly stiff and think he had no pulse [illegible] and was partly stiff was crying when I got him home and pulled his boots off the skin ripped off his feet and hands.
