FIRST WITNESS: Alva Metts, duly sworn transfixed as follows: . . . Mr. King was going North on Highway No. 1. He was driving a 37 Ford Two-door. I called the attention of my wife that there goes Mr. King. I gathered he was making his turn to the left, making a left run off No. 1 Highway into his home when a car coming South topped the hill and struck him. I rushed to the scene of the accident as soon as I could. It appeared that Mr. King had started to make his turn approximately 30 feet or more from where he was struck by the other car.
SECOND WITNESS: Mr. Millard E. Gilbert duly sworn transfixed as follows: . . .Well, my wife and I were on the way to New Orleans. We were in no hurry because he didn't have reservations until Tuesday. I said to my fie. We have plenty of time, no need to hurry. Anytime I come to the top of a hill regardless of where I am I always take my foot all the way if the gas. I wasn't driving fast. We had just come through a little town and I had bought a newspaper and my wife was reading it. He was at his drive way. I dint know he was going to turn in. He pulled out right in front of me. I cut my right wheel off the road. No skid marks. I might have been doing 40 or 45 miles per hour. If the man had come straight unto his driveway maybe I wouldn't have hit him but he didn't wait and cut in straight. The car looked like it was going into the bank. There was no signal the man was going to turn. . .
