F. L. Williams sworn: . . . We were riding [the bus] and I heard horn blow, I was sitting third seat from front on the right. I looked and saw a man standing in road near the center almost on white line, and a woman standing on left side. The man was undecided as to which direction to go. He began weaving across road in center. He turned and ran toward the bus. When the driver saw that the man was going to hit the bus he pulled to his extreme right to miss him by the man came on and hit side of bus. The bus left the pavement, ran into cotton field. When we had stopped I jumped off the bus, ran to where man way lying in road. He was lying face down, headed toward Lancaster, left arm stretched out, right arm lying beside him. When I got there no one was near him. The woman was gone. . .
