Personally came Georg Joel before me James McDaniel Magistrate acting as coroner being duly Sworn as a witness before a Jury of Inquest the State vs the dead Body of Silas Cockrum deposes and Says that on the 25th of inst that Silas Cockrum a while after dark came to his Still House and wanted a dram and he give him a dram and he left and about ten or eleven oclock Rattliff Joel came to him and Said that Cockrum hadnt went Home... found his hat but Saw nothing of Cockrum...
