Personally came before me Hugh Wilson of the District and State aforesaid and sayeth upon oath that on Friday or Saturday before the third day of May last he the deponent, was working at Culbertson's Mills and Young Fuller, the decd, came to where he was at work and he, the deponent, asked Fuller how he and Mary McCrackin (the Prisoner) was getting no about their difficulty in which she (the Prisoner) struck him, Fuller, on the head with an axe (alluding to a difficulty which the deceased and the Prisoner had had some time previous). Fuller, the deceased, replied that he intended to have satisfaction from her (the prisoner). The deponent then replied to Fuller that he had better go to McCrakins and make friends with the Prisoner. Fuller replied that that was not the kind of satisfaction he wanted - he intended to have revenge. The deponent said nothing more to Fuller about the matter. This conversation took place at Culberston's Mills in Laurens District S.C. about two & half miles from Mary McCrakins place of residence...
