An Inquisiton - indented - taken at the Dwelling House of John Smith in the District aforesaid on the 8th day of December 1838 before me Philip Wait a Justice of the Quorom in and for the District aforesaid acting as Coroner - uppon view of the Boddy of Jenny Smith then and therelyinb Dead - it will be seen on another Page of this return that the Jurors of said Inquest have said that the said Jenny Smith was murdered by some Person or Persons unkown - it not being in my Power to agree with said Jury in opinion - I have thought it propper to return my own views founded on an exammination of the Boddy, and the Evidence given to the Jury... I therefore conlcude she might have died by Disease and not by the hand of an assassin...
