Transcription: 

Lou Suber who being duly sworn deposes and says. Lives within 20 yards of the house in which deceased lived. Late yesterday evening heard thunder and saw lightning. Mariah Bowers mother of deceased was in house of witness at this time, and one of the sisters of deceased came to house of witness and told witness that deceased was dead and had been killed by Thunder, witness went... out to see and found deceased dead lying near to a white Oak Tree the tree showed that it had been struck by lightning...
