Martha Williams being sworn sayes she lives on the plantation of Mr Flemming about 200 yds from Sam Washington, I was at home Tuesday Evening at 1 Oclock. My house is about 30 yds from the RR as the train came up, they blew the whistle which I knew was not common. I looked to the the RR and saw a little girl running on the track carrying a babie; she made a step to get off the track and the Engine threw her off the road. I knew it was Sam Washington Children, I ran out there, the train stopped and ran back. I had to go round the train. I found one of the RR Men had the least child in his hand, they were both bleeding the largest child, (Deceased) was on the ground. Could not speak. I brought the children to the house washed them and found her head badly hurt. She died last night about 8 or 9 Oclock.
