Richard Bradley, sworn, says Lewis Bradley, decesd., is my son, him and myself came to Laurens Ct. getting there late in the evening of yesterday. Lewis seemed as well as ever. I went into the Room Brought 1 gal of corn whiskey. Came on to the River opened the Bottle and took a drink... one half the whiskey was then left in the bottle. After a little while I saw he was getting tight. Soon he became so drunk that he couldn't walk, I helped him along. I finally had to get help to get him to Daniel Bradley's house. Louis is 15 years old. This is all the time I ever saw him drunk. After we got him to Daniel Bradley's we warmed him, and did all we could to rouse him up. We put him to bed, before it was very late about an hour before daylight I found him dead. Louis has always been a very healthy boy.
