Ben Davis Sworn Says the deceased Cinda Simmons is my sister and has been living with me two years, her husbnd Jess Simmons having left her and taken one Adam Stewart's wife named Caroline, for wife. The deceased went to church Sunday left home about half past eleven Oclock as well as usual in the evening after Peaching she walked about a mile to see her daughter who lives with her father stoped at her sons on the way and taken dinner there went on to her daughter Beccas and walked back to church for night preaching. My sister's husband has not lived with her in three years, and for the last eleven years he has treated her very badly on account of this woman Caroline. I did not go to church my self was sick. Sunday night between 11 & 12 Oclock she was brought home very sick, taken bad on the road home, died about 10 Oclock Monday morning the 12 of Sept 1898. She never spoke I noticed anything from the time she taken untill she died.
