Jeff Davis being duly sworn says he knows Eli Edwards was alive at his house last about 9 1/2 o'clock, was lying on the floor with feet to the fire Nick Thomas & Ben Adams put him on the bed. Went off afterward & on returning after the up train passed, dound him dead. Has been at my house about 2 weeks, by request of his brother Edward for whci he was to pay.
