Obe Young Sworn Says This morning between Six & Seven Oclock I was at my mother in laws house in Winnsboro having stayed the night with her; the deceased Rose Ford lived in the back end of the same house, Miss Phillips asked if I had seen the deceased I replied that I had not but expected that she was in her room drunk or dead around then looked through a crack and saw her lying on the floor upon her back went back and told my wife that I believed she was dead, went back and looked again and was satisfied she was dead, Miss Phillips and Miss Wade then went with me and I opened the door and found she was dead I then reported it to Mr Gilb and the Police, have known the deceased for several years never heard any threats against her life, deceased lived alone.
