Edward Rodgers Being Sworn Says he lives on Mr Crawford's place in Fairfield County, and that he had his newphew Willie Dawkins living with him, aged six years that its father died about one year ago and gave the child to him to rear on yesterday the 12th of Feb 1890 he left the house to get some coal, and the child to Jane Dunbar in the house but told Jane to go and plow, he had carried up his coal to the stoop and about 12 Oclock he came to the house with a truss [?] of hay to feed to Ox at dinner, when he got in the house he did see Willie he called him got no answer he then started to where he allways played, but happened to see him lying in the yard about ten steps from the door with his clothes entirely burnt off of him except a small patch between his shoulders that was still burning the child was dead when he got to him.
