Margaret Manigan who being duly sworn says she lives on the plantation of Mrs Ellsimons [?] she first noticed the child dead this morning after sun up. When I left the bed at daylight the child was lying in a sleeping position I do not know whether the child was dead at that time or a live. I went to Mary Dunivans to help cook breakfast and when I returned I found the child dead. I suckled the babe some time in the night I didn't suckle just before leaving it.
