Lucy Lalla, Sowrn Says She is the mother the deceased child that her child was not sick to knowledge only it had very bad cold. That she retired to bed very early last night and that she taken her baby with her to bed, that she fell to sleep immediately as she had sit up late night before with a sick neighbor. She woke up in the night some time and let the babt suck, it seemed to be all right at this time, and that she did not wake up any more untill this morning at day light, and found her baby dead it was lying on it face. Witness says that her baby is something around five months old & that its name was Oscar, says she had not given it any thing in the way of medicine last night.
