Francis Huse of Fairfield County in the said state a witness on behalf of the State of South Carolina being duly sworn and examined according to law before me H.J.F.W. Coleman Trial Justice acting as Coroner for said County in the said state holding an inquest over the dead body of George Jeffries of said County in the said State on the 19th day of October A.D. 1888 Deposes and says he came to her house about eight oclock last night and asked for the door to be opened and she sent her little daughter to open the door and let him in and he came to the bed where she was lying and sit down by the side of the bed he said that Andy Boulware lost his Knife on the floor and asked her if she had found it she told him she had not, she asked him to sit down and then she turned over and went to sleep after being a sleep a short tie she was awaken by a noise he was makeing, she then got up and lit her lamp and gathered up her children and immediately left the premises without going to where he was, she went directly to Mr Benj Boulwares house, she called Mr Boulware and told him to come and see what was the matter with George Jeffries he was sick, and she then went to Mr Fletcher Boulwares and Mr Benj & Fletcher both came back with her.
