Ghany Emerson of Fairfield County in the said State a witness on behlaf of the State of South Carolina, who being duly sworn and examined according to laws before me F. W. Coleman Trial Justice acting as Coroner for said County holding an inquest over the Dead body of Henry Oglesby a Child of Henry Oglesby son and Nancy Oglesby about two months old, I was about four hundred yards from Henry Oglesby house when I discovered a large smoke in the direction of Henry Oglesbys son house I ran immediately to the house and found it impossible to enter the house, and found it entirely enveloped in flaims [sic] we afterwards discovered the chared [sic] remains of Henry Oglesby.
