Alice Thompson Being duly Sworn, Says she was present when Dinah Jackson died. That she was in the [?] house with her & that they were both sewing at the time heard no complaint and that she the Deceased fell over to the left side witness went immediately to her & found her dead, never spoke, Witness says she never hear any threats made gainst Dinah dont know of her having any enemys, Witness says that it was about eleven oclock when the Decd dropt dead April 29th 1880. further states that she did not see her eay any thing and that she (witness) was [?] [?] to deceased home[?] and heard her say she fell-verry well just before she died Mary Jackson Sworn, Says that Dinah Jackson (Decd) is her mother was present when she died says that it was about 11 oclock April 29th 1880, that her mother was sitting in a chair sewing and fell over dead, have been living with her mother all the time and that she is thirteen years of age and never knew her mother to have any sudden attacks of sickness. Seemed to be well this morning. Saw her eat breakfast - eat hearty. Witness says her mother was living on Mr. Jos[?] Thompson's plantation at the time of her death. Joseph Thompson, Sworn, Says the last time he saw deceased was this morning between seven & eight oclock She came to the door and asked him to bring her some cloth to make some of children dresses he told her he would do so. heard no complaint seemed to be well, Went on the [?] & got back about 11 oclock he got back to his house Dinah Jackson daughter come running to him Telling him to come & see what was the matter he ran down to her house & found Decd lying on the floor with her head in his daughters lap dead never saw any signs of life. done everything he could to restore but it done no good never heard any threats against decd life this happened the 29 of April 1880 Dr E. W. Aiken being Sworn I am of the oppinion after viewing the body of Dinah Jackson that she came to her death from paralysis of the heart, perhaps there was also a [?] disease of the heart - known as angina[?] pectoris[?], accompanied with a deposit of fat around about the heart. The physical formation of the Woman would readily support such a conclusion.
