Says he is the Father of Oscar Matthews and that he is in the imploy of Mr. Thomas Anderson an on Thursdays the 22 day of of Marc he was Sawing at the Mill and Oscar at was at the Mill with him the Said Oscar Stayse[?] a great[?] deal of his time[?] at the Mill with him at a bout [?] Eight oclock AM he Saw Oscar standing on the end of Pear head[?] of the Griss Mill and about 20 minutes after went to [?] him and could not find him Witness Says he wen down the creek to a raft about two hundred yards from the Mill about 5 oclock PM and made a Search and found the dead Body under the raft
