Jack Lyles Deposes & Says about 7 oclk A.M he went to get the batto[?], & discovered Aaron Oxner lying in the batto[?]. Some thirty feet from the Fairfield Bank he called to him & he made no answer be[?] there. Went in his batto[?], to [?] about 10 feet of where the batto[?] was as discovered that Aaron Oxner was Dead & then return & reported it to Mr. Murdoch[?] [a couple more testimonies confirm story almost verbatim]
