Shedrick Boulware Deposes and says that on the 21 day of August AD 1877 near Buck Head in said County and State himself Robert Kelly and James Sims the deceased was riding on a Wagon drawn by two Mules when they was gong down a hill the Wagon run upon the Mules the hold back stick broke the Mules run away with the Wagon throwing himself Robert Kelly and James Sims the deceased out of the Wagon into the road he got up and run after the Mules caught them about one fourth of a mile from starting point and found James Sims the deceased hung in the traces and insensible with the assistance of Robert Kelly extricated him put him in the Wagon and started for his home but he died before we reached his home without being able to speak [second witness testimony almost verbatim, doctor's note confirms cause of death]
