Jacob Neal, sworn says: That about half ago[?] he was standing in W.J. Davis store door, when Willie Featherston came out of the store and ran along up the railroad track, with an open Knife and an apple in his hands, went up as far as the switch (about 125 yards) and turned to come back, hallowing; fell on the track three times; the last fall was about twenty steps beyond the track, and did not get up; witness then went to him, lifted him up; at this instanct R.B. Bolick came up and assisted witness; Mr. Bolick took deceased in his arms and carried him to Mr. W.J. Davis' house; deceased was still breathing, his shirt bosom was very bloody; near by the deceased in the track was his Knife and a piece of apple, the Knife was bloody.
