Harrison found, George Keerison, tied to a bush at Hesbemont[?] Shoals on Broad River & brought him up to Alston, & Said to be tied to the bush by a Boatman D. Gordan, Made oath, that, the dead body under review, is the body of George Keerison, & that Keerison & A. Caldwell, on the day before was drounded both intoxicated, & had a difficulty, & made some threats, but next morning was friendly ... F[elix] Reily [identifies body] ... A. Caldwell, & made oath, that, Say the body under review is the body of George Keerison, that on the 4th day of Nov. Inst he & Keerison were passing over the R.R. Bridge at Alston together, that Keerison was intoxicated & fell off the Bridge into the River & was killed or drowned & that it was out of his power to prevent the fall of Keerison ... Major E[lliot]. Elkins, & made oath, that he went with Keerison & Caldwell on the morning Keerison was drowned, to the end of the Bridge at Alston, that Keerison was [?], that[?] they appeared to be friendly[?] & that he does not believe there was any foul play shown by Caldwell ... he saw Keerison & Caldwell on the morning Keerison was drowned or Killed go on the R.R. Bridge, that they were friendly, that Keerison was drunk & that he remarked that Keerison was too drunk to walk the Bridge, & that Keerison did not pass far in the Bridge until he did fall off & was drowned or Killed.
