Francis Thomasson states in evidence that he was correcting Bob's wife and that Bob came to this place in an angry manner - he ordered him to stop and go away to his business again - he stopd but refused to go away - he was ordered away again several times but would not go - Henry Hill who was present also ordered Bob away some three or four times. Bob said that he would not go whereupon Henry Hill took up a stick which lay upon the ground and strick him a light blow on the arm. Bob then stooped down very quickly and attempted to gather a nail appearantly [sic] for the purpose of resenting the blow, but the nail was fast - he then picked up a rock of several punds weight - with the appearant [sic] intention of throwing it at Mr Hill, as his gestures and threatening attitude fully indicated, but before he had the opportunity of doing so, Mr Hill stept towards him and with the same stick struck him a blow on the head which caused Bob immediately to fall appearantly [sic] insensible in which state he remained from about eight o'clock on the morning of the 15th Inst until about 12 o'clock the suceeding night when he expired...
