Louie McLaughlin I am . . . policeman -- I found slat at barn where child was born. Slat had blood on side it. Log there that had been broken with Blood on it. Blood on bottom plank of Barn. More blood on Bottom plank of Barn. Blood splattering on bottom board & thing around Barn. One spot on lower plank look like something. Blood had been hit on it. She stated to me she didn't know what she did it. She was by herself. She didn't want her parents to find it out.
Mrs. Adolphus Boatwright -- She went to the barn with me & found baby. I carried baby to house to keep anything from happening to it. I kept baby in my house until my husband came home. I notified him as soon as I could -- about night. . . Child was dead when I reached it was between 9 or 10 am. I don't know how long she was out. She didn't tell me for a good little. She complained when she came in house. I couldn't get her to go t bed no one she went to Barn that I know of she & I were only one at home
