Jimmie Buchanan -- Jean McMillian picked up axe. Gault held axe when he picked it up. Dan went on Luther about 20 ft away where he got there Luther hit him with a hoe. Luther was right at house. Luther got hoe under house. No trouble before as I known. Hit one time. Dan was drinking. Luther didn't act as if he were drinking. I saw hum hit him. Dan had after drawed back when Luther hit him. Dan was going to hit Luther if Luther hadn't hit him. I think axe broke his leg when Luther hit him.
